well if you have a helms it will tell you practically everything you need to know.
you would need to buy new bearings for the lsd and get them pressed on.
don't really need any "special" tools I can think of. just gotta have the right attachment if you do the press work yourself.
sjoback - Thanks man! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/icons/icon14.gif I don't think that I was asking for THAT much advice. Yes I do have the helms manual and I will read up on that. As far as the bearing goes, can I also do that myself or should I take it to a reputable shop to do this?

well it would be cheaper to take it to a shop. you would have to buy a press. I bought a cheasy ass one, and it cost like $100. but I'm also rebuilding the trans. its just a jack on a frame, though.
I know one guy said it only cost like $10, just had to find the right shop though. Might be somewhat of a hassle. you will want to be sure and re-shim the differential. it tells you how in the helms. piece of cake for the differential, different story for the mainshaft...
but don't worry you won't have to deal with the mainshaft shim.
